Putting ladybugs in the right spot!
Having aphid or pest issues on your plants? We sometimes do in April and May. It’s not that we don’t have ladybugs around are area. It’s just that sometimes they are too busy working on weed patches outside of our yard to notice that our roses need work! One solutions for us was to simply find ladybugs close to our home and transplant them onto our flowers. This works very well.
This morning I went out and found some ladybugs, caught them and placed them on the flowers. In the morning they are easier to catch and locate because they are less alert. This is a direct result of the ladybugs being cold and still somewhat in a “sleepy” state. Learn more about ladybugs on our ladybug facts page.
Hopefully you can see from the pictures, that once placed, one of the ladybugs immediately began to feast among the pests.
